5 session class with Carolyn

Class meets Fridays:
March 27, April 3, 10, 17, and 24
from 10:30 to 4:30.

Take a leisurely stroll along a vintage boardwalk with this darling quilt by Kimberbell Designs.

In this class we will be working on a section of the quilt each week. You'll be using many machine embroidery techniques: embroidery applique, fringe stitches, pocket blocks, chenille, and freestanding dimensional decorations. You'll also be adding cute buttons and pull flowers.

We are cutting the kits this week. Make sure you let me know to reserve the book, embellishment kit, and fabric kit as soon as possible.

Homegrown Class #3
Add to Design Board
Sku #: cq032420

1 session class with Carolyn

Class meets Tuesday, March 25, from 10:30 to 3:30

This is the third in the series of 12 classes for Homegrown, an applique quilt by Sue Spargo embellished with hand embroidery. This month we will continue working on appliqueing and embroidering our blocks

The book was written for hand applique and hand embroidery, but the quilt can be done by machine as well. If you are doing fusible applique by hand or machine, you will need to reverse the block patterns found in the back of the book.

Each class will include demos of a variety of embroidery stitches, discussions on applique techniques, and plenty of time to work on the blocks.

You get to choose which sessions to attend. There is a $25 fee per class.

CQ Sew Creative Software Club
Madeleine Double Wedding Ring
Class 3

Add to Design Board
Sku #: cq030220

This is the third class in this series of software club classes working on the center portion of Karen Charles' Madeleine Double Wedding Ring quilt.

The class meets Monday, March 2 from 1:00 to 4:00.

In this class students will be using the designs from Madeleine by Inspira to create the center of the beautiful Double Wedding Ring quilt designed by Karen Charles. We will be using the Modify module to shape the flowers into a tear drop shape, the Create module to put in an alignment marker, and Extra to create the rings. We'll also use the Create module to create quilting designs.

Once we are finished creating the quilt, a follow-up class will be scheduled to stitch out the quilt. You'll learn how to use the alignment markers to line up multiple hoopings and how to quilt your quilt with your embroidery machine. Sew much to learn!

Madeleine is a whole cloth quilt measuring 42” square.

This class is for owners for Premier+2 Ultra who purchased their software from Cottage Quilts. You must have attended the first class in January.

Students need to bring their laptop, power cord, mouse, and a USB stick. Plus bring paper and pencil for notes.

You're invited to a Garden Party.

This is a 2 day event with Linda, a certified embroidery expert with OESD.

Event days are Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21, 9am to 4pm.

Doors open at 8:30. Attendees should arrive early and be seated by 8:50.

You do not need prior machine embroidery experience to attend this event. We are inviting sewing and embroidery enthusiasts at all skill levels. We will have plenty of help in the class room.

In this two-day event, you will create six different projects while you learn valuable embroidery tips and techniques to make your projects more successful and more fun. Learn how to choose the right products for most techniques and be inspired by the Linda's trunk show showing a wide variety of embroidery projects.

The event fee includes kits for all six projects. Each project kit will have stabilizer, fabric, and thread for all six projects, the Garden Party Design Collection, and printed color handouts with the instructions. You'll also receive a stabilizer brochure and other goodies!

A boxed lunch, snacks, drinks, and water are also included in the event fee.

What do you bring? Absolutely nothing! We will be providing Brother embroidery machines and the use of our scissors and any other notions that you will need to complete your projects.

What can you expect? Door prizes, cute projects, a bit of education, and lots of fun. We are setting up 10 machines with a maximum of 3 students per machine.

Seating is limited to 30 students.
